Love Me Seven Days Cafe —— 一个星期爱我七天,好吗?

老朋友send来一张旧照片,你认得出我吗?
你们这群人啊,完全没有跟我庆生,小气一下。好了,不气了。(笑)
喘不过气了,今晚不想工作了,不想了呜呜……

Life is a journey of self-discovery

Recently took up a part time job at a cafe in TTDI.
As I was being... bored, after my daily routine, which is 8.30am to 5.00pm.

I have been very good in being alone. Finally got rid of the usual moody boring self, I'm taking initiative in filling up my life with many other elements.

Meeting people helps in my self discovery. Reflections from people tell you who you are. I'm becoming more and more conscious of my responses under different circumstances.
It's in my nature that, I need something different most of times. I seek excitement. I need to experience spiking adrenaline then going straight to resting mode.

I get cranky, easily. That's because I get tired easily.

Working part time barista/ waitress for one week now. A good dose, balanced dose of such work, not only fulfil my dream in learning coffee, it also allow the body to work while the brain is being rested.

It's really awesome, to be enjoying free coffee and cafe ambiance while earning money instead of spending. My minds are not on the monetary value. It's great, really. To meet different people, talk to them, listen to what they are passionate about.

They are so different, much more excited when talking about the things they are passionate about.

Well,
for right now,
the thing that really bug me is the romantic kind of love.
I'll never get that right, will I?

cheers,

My 2014 self challenge

I've started working, again.
And it is now finally a real dietitian job.

It wasn't easy as I was still sick on the first week of work. The sore and phlegm at throat made me don't feel like talking. Mild sore and phlegm still right now though, but the fever and fatigue have gone away.
In my uniform, a baju kurung.
Finally I feel like I'm living again, being functional and playing a part in the society.
Today was a good day too.
Met some new friends in the training program for Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative who are nurses. I have learnt a lot on care for pregnant women and on encouraging breast feeding.
This 20-hour program is so much more than the few hours lectures we had back in university.
It is now the time, for me to put everything I've learned to use. Furthermore, to do it well and professionally!

A sudden thought occurred while I was preparing dinner just now.
While the hospital is receiving the Planetree Challenge, I'm giving myself a challenge too.

I feel like I've been in the cycle of falling into someone, confrontation (yes, I'm a bold kind of girl. I hate regrets), giving up, heart breaking, picking myself up. Then falling into someone all over again. However I don't really fall into every guy I meet at the time. There are times when I'm not into any guy. Life will, sometimes, seems meaningless.

Hence, here's my challenge of the year:
I shall not fall in love to any other guy in 2014.

All the best to myself.

cheers,

"Student Dietitian IMU, CADIE"

We have had our Mock OSCE today,
had a taste of Objective Structured Clinical Examination.
Suppose the examination comprises the elements from our usual practice as a dietitian,
I should be able to handle it when the full set comes.

From Kuala Pilah, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Bukit Jalil, Seremban, to Pulau Penang,
I marked the end of the dietetic placement in Pulau Penang with a long sleep from 4am to 1pm, as I arrived at home around 3am+
The daily responsibilities as a student dietitian and
the academic assignment as a student.
Towards the end of the placement, feeling glad to work under En Chandra,
understanding the importance of continuity in the Nutrition Care Process,
as well as the difficulties in ensuring it when multiple cases and responsibilities clashes.
Earlier when there were less cases,
I've done some extra learning and developed some education tools.
Which, all these are part of the dietitian's roles.

 THANK YOU!

From top: Ms Chew; Pn Noraini, En Hisyam, En Chandra, Ms Wong and Ms Khor;
Photo left out: Pn Saf and Pn Azlinah.
It's been great pleasure working with and learning from the dietitians in Hospital Pulau Penang.

Us in the group had also received individual feedback and comment from our supervising lecturer, Ms Ng, today. I've worked with her since my placement in the long term care setting, which is the entire final year except for community placement only.

She has known me well, my weaknesses and strengths. I'm feeling lucky throughout the final year. To have the preceptors in HPP, giving me feedback that helps me grow. Besides, the reassurance from Ms Ng, as well as the constructive suggestion.

Say goodbye to the title "Student Dietitian",
I need to look to the future and continue to pour my "extra" love to the patients who need the care.
This is the time, I look back and laughed at the old me, feeling glad that I've came this far.
It's a long way still.
And nothing comes easy.
I've found my passion and I shall live it then!

Life in Seremban

Life has been contented.
Not a direction or way of life I pictured as a young girl (I never really pictured about it though), I'm feeling grateful for it is moving somewhere, the feeling of living for no purpose hasn't been haunting me anymore.
Just started to spend more time on my piano and guitar, recently bought a nice book.

Things are less as bad when you finally recognize the presence, becoming aware of the situation. I didn't know I'm so afraid of being alone until one day I told someone I could do anything on my own. I start to seek help, when I really need it, realizing the need that I'm needing, if you know what I mean...
It's not easy, to put down the armour and face your fear.

Well that's my recent biggest growth.

Life in Seremban

has improved, or I must've started to adapt.
Le front gate view from my balcony
Bought chocolate for myself.
Becoming less stingy about these things.
Used to think I shouldn't buy chocolate and books with my own money,
such weird mentality I myself don't understand why...
The mochi is really good! Gave the yam one to mom and she loved it.
All the way from Taiwan.
Thank you Rachel!! =D

Afternoon IPD session meaning no early wake up in the morning, you thought?
NO!
I'm still waking up before the sun rise or around 7 o'clock.
It's a good feeling though.

It's a beautiful day

perfect for photo shooting.
Should bring my SLR next week.

Went to the ward in the morning to search for IPD case portfolio the other day.
Found out the canteen stall is not open for business, thus I made my lunch!

It's been two nights staying till late in HTJ and clinical school.
The light along staircase is finally fixed.
But the good mood was screwed by a big fat lizard decided to jump on my ponytail
the moment I opened the door of my room...
Just grateful it didn't any other part of my body...
Mrs.Azib knocked at my door early in the morning
to give me these:
homemade butter cake and a cup of hot milo.
She's just so loving and caring :3

Every corner and road on Bukit Rasah

has been haunted by the memories from first month here.
Thing is how it is depending on how we see it.
So I say...
At least the night light is now on, when the sunlight is gone.
I shall finally be on my own path with a single soul ready to move on and not lingering around.

appreciate life,

The Final Chapter of Uni Life

It's daily routine now:
check for classes, print out the notes;
study the notes and be prepared;
continue the NCP sheet pertaining to the progress of lectures;
check and manage the progress for convo magazine photoshooting;
check IMU e-mail;
fill in the activity log book;
work on my clinical pocket guide book.

In few more months,
I'll be a graduate.

Now, it's all about making extra miles.
With all the challenges in daily life and the clinical training,
I'll be a better me.

appreciate life ;) ,

Last bit of last long break

Last Thursday was my last day in the break when I can sleep the most,
do anything I like.
It turned out a really pretty one.

Did laundry, had koko crunch with milk as breakfast.
Slack a little, baked then went out and took some photographs by the pond in the neighborhood.

It's been a while since the last time I spent time with my SLR.
I'm really lucky with all the lotus flowers blooming and so many fireflies joining me during the shooting.

With the limitation of the kit lens,
I'd got to sit on the ground, stepped the closest to the pond, stood in some weird positions to take these photos.
Your opinions? =)
Baked some muffins,
with extra extra extra chocolate chips and almond nips.

See the melting choco inside?
Packed them up!
Did some sewing job later.
It was raining.
Was being comfortable in my room, sewing up the big hole on the old bed sheet. It's to be brought to Kuala Pilah.
Blanket bear with me
When mom came back from work, I borrowed her car to the mall to buy a broadband for use during the placement too.
Bought myself Java Chips,
before going off to a place without Starbucks.

It was the semester briefing on Friday.
Things that are gonna happen throughout our final year were briefed. My brain was so saturated I started to feel blur after the briefing with Ms.Ng.
You see, we'll be doing Community Nutrition, Long Term Care Centre, Food Service Management and Clinical. Ms.Ng is gonna be my supervising lecturer for all only except the first part. Hope I won't get confused in the end...
Any way, I only wish to concentrate on my Community Nutrition for now.

Later that day, I went out for dinner with my girls and Shryn.
Had this, the Fish Fillet MeeHoon Soup.
It was my first time ordering this, I enjoyed it!
I was actually feeling quite exhausted already. I did some last minute shopping during Thursday night, kinda work out the body a little walking around in quick paces. Then it was the briefing.
Having to have to take the long LRT-KTM route back home, I was imagining it to be a bit of torturing and scary. I had never used public transport alone during this late hour.
However, it turned out okay. There were fair bit of crowd though I got to be seated throughout the journey.

Then it's Saturday.
I went working, promoter job again. It was located in the NSK trade city, Taman Sentosa. There was this event going on and the sampling was only complimenting it in my opinion.
First time knowing this Malaysian Celebrity Chef, Amy Beh
The celebrity chef, Amy Beh was hosting the cooking demonstration in the mall. I got the chance to sneak a peak while giving out Teh-C(sample) we made from the promoting product.
Jimmy, the agent was really thoughtful. We were paid right after the job was done. I then spent part of the wages on sleeping gowns and baju kurung which I've been looking for for so long~

It's been fruitful.
I baked,
I took photos,
I went out with friends,
I worked,
in just the last 3 days of June.

Gonna say goodbye again, my lovely home.

appreciate life,

Part of my very last long semester break

Half of our semester break has passed.
I've done not much so far.

Baked some cookies for a bunch of guys and girl
Two packs went to Jack boss, for his huge favor of fetching me from Bukit Jalil;
two for Eric and Rick;
another for the birthday girl, LiJi
Didn't really receive any comment from them about the cookies,
personally think I certainly need to improve the taste of the cookies.

Went mamak with the guys,
the roti tisu was great!
It's been a while.
Most of the days in the break can be concluded with these words:
wake up, cook, eat, slack, eat, slack slack slack, eat, then sleep.
Made some dumplings.
There was one day when I only had these cookies with coffee during the day time.
Love having the sweet and the bitter,
the combination is heavenly~
Mom bought me some fresh meat from the market,
made more dumplings~
I went to the pool with Kevin and friends one Sunday morning.
I had my wet suit on, it only covers till... well you see the vivid difference in skin tone.
It still look pretty obvious on my right hand now... > <

28 May 2012

Went to IMU in mom's car, my car is currently still under repair.
Paid and collected my 5 copies of thesis
The 5 copies of thesis cost me more than a hundred ringgit.
One is for myself to keep, other four for the hospital involved which is HTJ Seremban, my two research supervisors and the last is for the university library since IMU funded the research.

There was a meeting on the same day.
Went to Starbucks in Pear Point with dear Catherine.
Was about to reload my Starbucks card,
then the barista suggested I get this.
KaiXin went for a part time job training,
I went on and shop for a while in the mall.
Bought the "Hunger Game" novel.
More books to read now~
It was the day when we got our Semester 6 results too!
I burst out a short laugh when I peaked into the result slip.
Woots! I made it!
I successfully maintain the CGPA, better still, it increases a little! =D

And there was only one B-, for Nutrition in Exercise & Sports.
That's the worst module, still, I'm very glad already.
I did the project over a bottle of Carlsberg in a very noisy cafe, what can I expect?

The best, and the only A- goes to....
Research Project!
I'm so thrilled!!!

There, a tick on my 2012 Resolution, YAY!!! =D

The perfume promotion job

Was so glad I got through this already.
Had one of my meal in Subway during work
The dress code was ALL BLACK,
how depressing~~~
Had the sizzling in the food court.
It's so cold in the mall, and I'm always so sleepy,
good to have a cup of coffee and relax with favorite music on.

I was having hard time sleeping the other night.
A lot of old memories going through in the head, a lot of thoughts, a lot of "what if" and "we could've", ...

Friend was a bit worried and told me to have to protect myself,
I told her it's in my nature,
but it's okay,
cause I'm given a lot of tears.

There are more to write actually,
since I've been so lazy even to update my blog. > <
This is it,
I'm writing a to-do list for tomorrow.

Good night for now =)
