老弟說,there's a fine line between love and obsession。
到底那份是爱还是执着,who am I to judge?

Pauline Tan won title of First Runner up for The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2015

Next to me, that's our new First runner-up of the Miss Universe Malaysia 2015!
Pauline in her new heels.
Yesterday night while my colleagues were dressing up for our CEO's award presentation gala night, I was also preparing for a gala night, at the Shangri-la Kuala Lumpur, to see my friend on stage of The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2015!
Done a full make up by myself for the first time!
I punched out from Shah Alam office very punctually at 6pm, got on my car and set my mind to reach the venue as soon as possible. Fortunately, I arrive at around 7pm and got my free tickets from 8TV.
I wasn't expecting to attend this gala night as the tickets were sold out, at the same time, Pauline didn't really want us to spend too much for this occasion.
Thank you 8TV!
Everything was last minute. Grab a dress I've never wore before though purchased long time ago, my existing make up tools and a random bag I usually use.
I even had to borrow few make up items from my colleague to complete my make up.
Time to shop? (teehee)
Obligatory washroom shot :p
Around 8pm, we were finally in the ballroom after standing and waiting for an hour.
It was a four-course dinner.
The event was happening and very enjoyable.
Food was nicely presented and the taste was good.
There were a number of surprises.
First, I already know that Pauline is in the top six. The event started with additional of three contestants being the wild cards, whether they were chosen by the judges or due to the winning of subsidiary titles.
Appetizer: Marinated mushrooms with salad
The competition continued on with nine contestants. Next, when they were supposed to announce top four, another two contestants were added and we had top six (finally). Final Q&A sessions were proceeded with six of them. I have to say, these pageants are good.
Dessert at around 11.30pm due to delay.
Did I mention the main course was served at 10pm?
Oh I haven't mentioned, Pauline was also awarded the subsidiary title of Winning Smile! Yay! ^^
Winning Smile of the Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2015

The final six were Pauline, Jenny, Kelly, Miera, Vanessa and Sugeetha. It was a lot of heart pumping moments especially when it came down to just Pauline and Vanessa for the crown of Miss Universe Malaysia 2015.
Congratulations Pauline! Proud of you!

Coffee Amo @TTDI

Dropping by this beautiful place for a break while running errand in the town.
You'll walk in to this after climbing the stairs. Simple design and arrangement for the outdoor space with some plants to lighten the atmosphere.

The interior is nothing complicated as well. Though look closely and you'll be amused by the little decorations here and there.

There are a lot of photography magazines here. I really like the creative murals around.
This place wins my heart with their interior decoration, simple and nice.

cheers.

Cyclist, Get away to Penang Island

Alright, here's a very old story.
Though it was a significant life time story from 2014.

It was an impulse decision to join Rachel in participating the Cycling For A Lane in Penang Island 2014. Signed up in March, and left it behind my mind until June.
It's fate and luck that when I first join Pickle & Fig, I've met Uncle GC and Uncle Larry, who are regular customers, at the same time, cyclists.
Putting on my cycling gears!
Uncle GC is very friendly. He introduces me to the bike shop in Bandar Utama where good and warm service is provided.
Explore cycling at least once in your lifetime and be glad about it!
As part of training, also Uncle GC and Uncle Larry's usual cycling route, we cycled all the way from PJ to Klang, along the Federal Highway.
Bah Kut Teh breakfast on Sunday morning

One day before the event, I drove Rachel to Penang.
It was 350km drive without a stop!
Following that day was time with Rachel's family in Penang Island
and not to forget... Penang street food!
The stalls are by the road side.
Managed by the locals, which is a different scenery from how it is in Central Peninsular Malaysia.
It feels good.
There you go, my first cyclist suit.
Still can't believe I've done it months ago.
Staying overnight at Rachel's grandparents' place that night, all comfy and cozy. Thank you so much for having me!
We woke up early the next morning, had some food then got on our bicycles only to find ourselves arrive at the starting point right after the gun was shot.
Regardless, let's hit the road!
At my first stop
We went off different speed in the beginning.
Hence I was on my own, staying strong with my earphone on.
At some tourist's spot.
Towards the end, when I started to feel like I couldn't continue without a proper rest,
I decided to stop for...
ABC ice
I'm never born an athlete.
Coming this far, to finishing Half Marathons and now,
round the island, 82.8km,
I earn this medal with pride.
CFAL 2014
Keep the spirit up!
On 17th August 2014, I round Penang Island in bicycle, accomplished!

Dreamz Cafe @ Kota Damansara

Bidding goodbye to year 2014, I've also quit my part time job in Pickle & Fig.
Hence, much more time to continue my cafe hopping and exercise.
Although, my favourite place will still be the frequently visited one.
Vividly remember, how my mood was, stepping into this cozy little cafe on the day I came to PJ for the interview of my current job.
The ambience and decoration feels like home.
These are photos from few visits, one of it was before Christmas.
Lemon Sauce Chicken Rice
with side salad and Chicken Herb Soup
RM17.90
The Chicken Herb Soup was an essential part of the Chicken Rice set.
It completes the set, wrapping it with homey warmth.

I went there alone, with my laptop and books.
Later then ordered desserts and coffee.
Blueberry and Passion fruit Macarons
Loving the flavourful Passion fruit Macarons
Blueberry Macaron
Cappuccino
Christmas cookies for sales
Right next to the counter, you will find these display of 80's, 90's childhood memories on sales.
They also sell homemade cookies which I think make good gift for friends and family.

During the visit with my dear, I go for the Carbonara.
Carbonara Spaghetti
It's a delicate cafe well-decorated at all corners.
There was once when I visited, I was the only customer. While waiting for my food, I started admiring each and every corner in the cafe.

During my another revisit, I ordered Japanese Curry Chicken Rice, which is similar to Lemon Sauce Chicken Rice. It was a long stay, I then ordered Mushroom Soup. It was really filling with the thick texture soup and toast. Again, the presentation itself is inviting.
Mushroom Soup
served with Garlic Toast

Along the staircase, you will find decorations like this:
Well if you prefer to not walk up the staircase, or in case of disability or injury, you can use the lift.
